I had a short walk in the gardens.


I found this beautiful big shiny beetle in the garden:


The meadow between the orchards in a special light mood:

The following pic is an oak gall, also called oak apple. Oak trees produce these in response to chemicals injected by the larvae of gall wasps into developing leaf buds. The baby wasps are protected inside the gall and they also eat it.
