Frogs and Clouds
Monday, April 14th, 2025 11:50 pmIt was another mild, dry day. I saw even more frogs in my pond than yesterday, and a newt, too. My radishes are starting to sprout in veggie bed 1. I already have to water the garden quite a bit because there hasn't been any rain lately.

Eclipse behind clouds

Bat Boxes and Signs of Spring

Eternal Stars
Tuesday, January 21st, 2025 11:29 pmThe weather is still unchanged, around freezing and with very clear skies. Again I looked at the evening sky for as long as I could stand the cold. This time I tried taking more pictures of the stars. Handheld phone cam pictures will never be great astrophotography, but I'm pleased by how much does show up in these shots. I added screenshots from the free online app Stellarium for comparison, so it's easier to see the constellations.
