The weather is still unchanged, around freezing and with very clear skies. Again I looked at the evening sky for as long as I could stand the cold. This time I tried taking more pictures of the stars. Handheld phone cam pictures will never be great astrophotography, but I'm pleased by how much does show up in these shots. I added screenshots from the free online app Stellarium for comparison, so it's easier to see the constellations.
I went outside past sunset, when it was already kinda dark, and watched the planets and stars gradually appearing in the sky. I should probably mention that I'm in central Europe, so any stuff I'm writing here about the night sky applies to that location's winter sky.
There was a cold wind today again. The clouds were moving quite fast. Alt text is a bit subpar for most of the pictures today as they are just different shots of the sky at sunset that idk how to describe.
It was another very beautiful clear and frosty day.
The sky is so large in the middle of the fields. It's impossible to convey in photos. Knowing which of the bright lights in the sky are the other planets of our solar system really establishes the feeling of standing on a rock that's floating through the universe.
It was a frosty, clear day. I went on my walk past sunset.
The cow boys were all there, on the close side of the stream.
A pro tip for photographing cows: if you want them to lift their head and look at you for a photo, try singing or humming to them. Here's Bambi, listening to me humming "Die Gedanken sind frei". Cows love a classic antifascist tune.
The bright spot in the sky is the planet Venus.
I stayed out for way after dark, looking at the stars and planets, trying to memorize constellations.
The weather was unchanged today. I saw the cow boys from far away, but no deer. The little lit up spruce tree in the courtyard looks pretty, but is hard to get in focus with my phone cam.
The bunnies are also hard to get in focus, mostly due to their incredible speed. However, I do enjoy blurry pet photos.
Haru is deeply in love with Juni and will follow her everywhere, at all times. They cuddle (and do other things) very frequently.
