Sun and Moon

halcyon_gardenIt was a mild day, much warmer than yesterday. In the evening it was dry and the sky was clear. I went out into the fields for a bit.
A while after sunset, I was standing between the apple and plum orchard, and watching the bats fly around. I also noticed that I could *hear* them. I don't think what I was hearing was their echolocation noises, those should be inaudible to the kind of ears I have. It was probably the sound of their wings flapping. Interesting either way.
The moonrise was beautiful, I wish I had a camera zoom for this.
There was a partial lunar eclipse that night. I stayed up until after 4am and went outside to watch it. It wasn't very spectacular, but I like the moon, and it was nice to watch.
