It was a mild day, much warmer than yesterday. In the evening it was dry and the sky was clear. I went out into the fields for a bit.

evening sunlight behind some tall trees. there are fallen leaves on the ground.

the setting sun over the fallow field, it is behind some large oak trees at the edge of the field. the sky is clear and it's a gradient of pastel colours, yellow orange and silver

close up of thistle flowers in front of the evening sky. one is in bloom, light purple, one is going to seed, with a fluffy part at the top. there are spiderwebs on the stalk. the setting sun is blurred in the background.

some spindly looking plants silhouetted against the sunset sky, they are reaching upwards.

A while after sunset, I was standing between the apple and plum orchard, and watching the bats fly around. I also noticed that I could *hear* them. I don't think what I was hearing was their echolocation noises, those should be inaudible to the kind of ears I have. It was probably the sound of their wings flapping. Interesting either way.

a wild looking apple tree, and other, further away trees, silhouetted against the evening sky after sunset. the sky is starting to turn dark, with a hint of orange still at the horizon.

The moonrise was beautiful, I wish I had a camera zoom for this.

the almost full moon rising over some far away trees and houses. there are some apple trees and branches in the foreground. the sky is deep dark blue with a lot of grainy texture.

There was a partial lunar eclipse that night. I stayed up until after 4am and went outside to watch it. It wasn't very spectacular, but I like the moon, and it was nice to watch.
