It was a wonderfully foggy day. The vibes outside were perfect.

a large oak tree in the fog

fog in the plum orchard, the trees are looking wild and gnarly

a foggy view of the wild wetland area near the stream, with fallen trees in the foreground

close up of some textured old wood, the trunk is without bark, it is various shades of brown and tan and looks damp

a row of trees between the fields along the stream, they are vanishing into the fog in the distance

All sounds seemed subdued out in the fields, only the crows came through with their loud and moody calls.

another tree between the fields, in the fog. it has an eye that is looking at us.

the edge of a field with various trees, shrouded by fog as they fade into the distance

a spindle bush with a lot of dark pink fruit on it

a view of a pasture, with a small tree and a fence in the middle and larger trees pale behind distant fog

looking up at layers of increasingly faded large oak tree branches that appear dark and colourless against the white sky, they still have some leaves that are equally dark.

some large willow trees in the low light fog, with faded orange and grey-green autumn leaves on them

a large oak tree with a tiny linden tree in front, whose bright yellow-orange leaves are contrasting with the dark oak trunks

On my way back, I pulled these carrots from my garden. I did not have a lot of luck with them this year, very few of the plants survived the slug parades. I shall try again next year.

I was watching the birds today around noon. They were being very lively and active. I saw about 10 different species. This green woodpecker came very close to the window, and they once again proved that birdwatching goes both ways.

I went for my walk in the early evening.

the entrance archway to my garden in the autumn sunlight. everything is still green. there are large cherry tree branches growing above the path.

There are still a few things growing in my garden, such as these tomatoes. Some of my strawberries are of an everbearing variety, so I have a few small strawberries sometimes even at this time of year.

I went to walk between the fields.

the dry wildflower field in the warm evening sunlight. there are some trees in the background. the sky is blue with many white puffy clouds.

a dried cluster inflorescence of a plant backlit by the evening sun.

the edge between two fields near sunset. one field has a thin cover of green plants on it, the other one is bare earth that looks freshly plowed. the sunset light is yellow and giving high contrast lighting to the clouds overhead.

trees with their roots holding onto the small stream's bank. the water appears greenish.

a group of tree trunks standing close together. the bark is striped. at the base of the trees is a pile of big old fallen tree branches.

a bunch of wild growing trees and shrubs by the side of a field. they have various shapes and thicknesses. the sun is setting behind them.

The secret spot is a good place to watch the sunset.

sunset in a small grove. two trees in the foreground are white barked birch trees. there are some fallen leaves on the ground that are tinted orange from the sunset light.

cloudy post sunset sky over the empty field. the horizon is tinted orange. there are willow branches in the foreground.
