It was another soggy grey day. I had a nice time outside.

two tiny light brown umbrella shaped mushrooms next to some fallen leaves in the grass.

a buckeye chestnut and a piece of its spiky green shell laying in the grass, with raindrops on them.

a fully cloudy sky over the fields. the clouds are grey and fairly dense.

a big tendril of a blackberry plant, its leaves have turned mostly red.

I went around to the other side of the orchards to finally get close to the cow boys again so I could give the unnamed new boys their names. Some of my friends have given me name suggestions, which I used.

a boy who is a cow named Paisley, seen from the front, low perspective. he is standing and looking at me.

The brown boy to the right received the name Bartholomew Corkalancer. I call him Mew for short.

cow boys Paisley and Mew, being cute and looking at me.

another shot of Paisley and Mew in a more dynamic pose, Paisley has his mouth open mid-chew.

cow boys Fernando and Mew in the foreground, with Leonardo and Paisley behind them.

Here's one of Fernando, Paisley and Bambi. Bambi seemed much calmer today. He was hanging around with the three older boys a bunch.

cow boys Fernando, Paisley and Bambi, standing and staring at me.

This one has received the name Walt, since he is such a silly boy. I couldn't convince him to take grass from my hand yet, although he seemed quite interested in it. I ended up giving it to Fernando who always wants the good stuff.

a cow boy named Walt. he is very baby looking, small and has light reddish brown fur.

a higher angle shot of six cow boys standing close together.

a bunch of cute cow boys.

There's two more boys who stayed further away. Their names are now Peanut butter and Duncan. I hope that I can take some close up pics of them soon.

all eight cow boys in the apple orchard. some are playfighting, some grazing in the distance, some are looking and contemplating.

close up of a snail on a concrete fencepost with some lichen growing on it. the snail has a light brown shell with a spiral stripe on it.

I don't think I've ever seen a wild chestnut out of its husk before! Husks, yes, and full ones on the tree. But the nuts get stolen up by squirrels and such instantly. It looks so strange to see it on the grass. Like something dropped out of a grocery store, which is obviously backwards!
